Ducks junk sale

Starting a little sale thread here before I list things on Facebook.
Long story short, the BKB Voyager remote sent me on a voyage straight to the ER with a fractured neck and back. The risk just isn’t worth it to me anymore, so I am getting out of ESK8.
No clue what to list this stuff for, so if I am way off just let me know.
Will take Paypal G&S if fees and the new BS tax that is being charged this year are covered. Would prefer F&F, Venmo, Cash App, etc. I’m not going to scam you, pinky promise.

Healing is going good but slow. The brace is no fun, but at least the pain is gone.
The whole no driving thing is the biggest unexpected annoyance

@Posterduck I’m curious about your remote failure, was it just a cut out or dead throttle or what? I’ve been loving my Voyager remote, never had a cutout even during major group rides :grimacing::grimacing:

definitely planning to swap soon regardless, especially after seeing this… hope you heal up quickly and completely man :saluting_face:

It was a full-throttle type of failure. I don’t remember hitting the ground or much in the hour after, but I do clearly remember what happened before.
I had stopped before crossing the street, slowly crossed with a little throttle, and then went full throttle. When I let up on the throttle, it went to “neutral” for a split second before increasing to full over about half a second. It felt like it went from 0% to 100% over the course of my .4s positive ramp time. The last thing I remember is rocking the throttle forward and back hoping it would stop.

The good news is that I should make a full recovery, just slowly.

I’ll take the broken wand if you’re shipping internationally.

I’ve sold a couple of boards locally with voyager remotes… Although, Ive never experienced it myself, both buyers reported the same thing. Luckily, neither of them were injured.

Do the Fivestars have 12mm bearings already in them?

Ugghhh, i picked one up on sale, i am coming to question that choice :smiling_face_with_tear:

Not wanting to ship internationally, sorry.

yep

You ok with shipping to a US forwarding address? It’s in New Jersey and they send it on to Europe. If so I’ll take the bearings and VESC remote, I was talking to Linus and will forward the remote to him

I’m not sure how different it is from the spintend uni1 remote, but I believe they’re both made by spintend… The uni1 remote potentiometer isn’t super durable, it’ll tend to lurch when you flick the throttle especially after a few falls… I imagine if the internals are the same then the voyager joystick could behave worse…
