You are correct, the battery discharge leads should remain as short as possible for best performance and safety. However, I think @zero_ads meant like accessory wires in the esk8 (i.e. running your DaveGaX or light wires from the rear of the board to the front, past the battery).

Each p-group has a 40mm wide nickel tab connecting to the next group in series. The length of each series connection is minimal (due to how the tabs lay against each other) and the cross-sectional area is more than enough for sustained power.

Thank you! These ones are specifically designed to allow the discharge fuse to be user-serviceable with minimal heat-shrink trimming. Right-to-repair is a high priority for us!
