Dr. E whe system?!?

Was browsing youtube other day and found this:

Someone on youtube is doing DIY wheels using regular 3d printer with good results. However still no long term field data or any link to dudes blog or site. Can this be end all be all solution to esk8 PU wheels? I would love to get guy here so that he can tell more about his invention but don’t know how. Idea itself looks stupidly simple and I have 3d printer flexible materials but have avoided trying to make them in a wheel fearing delamination.

Most likely not. TPU has nearly 0 grip so I’m surprised he has had any success tbh. I also think it would break down rather quickly lol

Not a bad idea but I just can’t see it lasting

James Bruton has tried to use tpu for various grip related things and it always falls short. Furthermore, I would be very nervous about delamination and having wheels explode. The TPU is both not soft enough and not hard enough at the same time

This right here. If you want empirical evidence for the efficacy of TPU in motorized locomotion look no further than this channel.
