Thank you, MBoards. They did a video on remote troubleshooting. Turns out, every time I set up the board, the VESC tool set the remote to default to Off. Spent the day feeling out the board. It’s been 20 years since I last was on one. I had a blast!

I have Demon 2.0R I guess the R means 15t/40T w/170KV pre-built. The power switch had a broken off post from the battery being tossed in it.
The DIY - I’m using John’s Hummie Deck, & looking for strong trucks that can hold 280lbs. I have a set of 170kv motors and am thinking I’ll use the Maker’s Mark VESC. AlexB sent me 125 Mad Wheels. I’ll get the enclosure measurements when the board arrives & start building the battery with forum oversight! The demon seems awesome, but it’s the only ESk7 I’ve been on. I just started the journey. Thanks for asking, Robaf. This community has been great.
