Can you point me in the the right direction on how to update my puck? Thanks!
Anyone want to share how the new decks are performing? I know it’s a bit soon. First impressions maybe?
The new deck rides quite well. Flexible but not too flexible. For my 175lb weight it is pretty much perfect. There is some torsional flex which you can feel at speeds over 20mph however I did not feel any weird tracking issues. I think this is in part due to the long deck.
Still too cold and wintery for me to ride yet. I did one short around the corner ride and everything seems okay. Definitely a bit stiffer than the original deck. But hesitant to give any real feedback till i get some real mileage.
Did they ever finish manufacturing the 5” pneumatic hubs?
That’s Hoyt

ooohhhh damn these look even better than the hoyt ones! I hope the 5" hype catches on more.
Better than both versions of the Hoyt 5in?
I like the rim style, it’s my personal preference. I wish the Retro Rollers were obtanium.
@longhairedboy I’m curious why you guys chose this instead of bearing seats in each side of the hub? In my experience this only leads to headaches, that are easily solved if you have the core split into two pieces. Is there an advantage that I’m not thinking about?
Change tires without having to take the rim off the axle
wow, think this’ll fit my exway flex?
yeah but you’ll lose at least 1/3 of your range versus stock wheels
Fair point. Doesn’t seem like a good trade off to me.
In theory, better balancing and bearing alignment. Having bearings in each half means the bearing alignment is dependant on how well the two halves locate to each other when assembling. Having the bearing seats both in one solid piece eliminates that potential for misalignment.
What are the issues you see with both bearing seats in one half of the wheel?
