Cutout decks:
The wood is removed around the wheel at each of the four corners of the deck, allowing your trucks to dive in deep without the wheel catching on the deck.
In my opinion this is the best shape for esk8. Mainly because of the massive wheels, wide trucks and motors all attribute to some form of bite against the deck. Or poor clearances
