Thats awesome! Now I want to get an OSRR…
Lucky man Ill have to wait cuz im low on esk8 funds
No it was a joke because Andrew clearly said " no preorders "
I actually thought you convinced him to get a preorder
Does it work with the Maytech MTSKR1905WF V2 and the Flipsky VX2 Pro?
I don’t know this one.
So any rendering pic yet?
The dimensions still concern me 30mm prity think when considering that 10s4p flat packs are the most common
Width Neo BOX 120mm vs battry 130-140
Hight NeoBOX 30mm vs Battery 18-24
Length NeoBOX 65mm as fare as I’m aware only affects people that mount them sideways in a haya or hummy deck want them less than 70mm (Unser if neodeck dimensions of the top of my head
The VESC6 is 18mm thick for a reason any way on taking 6mm off the thickness so it will fit in most encloser? You can add to the width if it helps
Understand friend that size is not final yet. Is just approximate dimension. For handle high current is needing appropriate size for heat sink case.
I can apricate this friend was just a heads up of a old issue with ESC use to have. @longhairedboy and some of the long term builders could probably give you a better idea. was a lot of routing decks to make them fit resulting in some snapped decks. for some people this would be a reason to pick another VESC inspired ESC over yours.
probably the only ones that don’t break… oddly enough… are the Evolve Bamboo decks that to this day still get routed for the battery mod.
not having to route a deck was a major consideration in deciding on the concave i use in my deck mold.
This would be a good time to bring out a turn key esc with a external heatsink for mounting external of the enclosure. Thermal throttling is a real issue in DIY its the one thing and only thing evolve do better. I found out that taking off the shrink wrap of flipsky/hglrc voids their warranty. Their 6.6 dual old design is almost perfect for external heatsink mounting with a cutout and silicone. Whats the point of aluminum cases only to put the in a sealed insulated enclosure.
Our case is big heatsink so can spreading heat better.
Without airflow or waterflow even the best heatsink will become thermal saturated. Unlike underpants heatsinks work best on the outside.
Well played sir…
Wondering why the dule Is 6mm thicker is it some thing to do with power and data connections? Or the NRF
Talking about the NRF a lot of us use Metr Pro to link the vesc to our phones would like to keep this throughout all my boards. Will this cause issues having 1 vesc 2 Bluetooth connections to 1 phone? Bear in mined VESC app not available on all platforms other apps are.
I’m a big fan of external heatsinks.
Is not final size yet. But is many change from neoBOX 6 to dual. We use bigger capacitor and other part which need space. Is have integrate switch as well.
We already want to integrate metr before but they no want to cooperate for us.
