Kind of an embarrassing story but when I first started building esk8’s, back in the dark ages I bought a bunch of Headway LiFePo’s figuring that I’d get a whole lot of amp hours not realizing that volts matter.
Later I upgraded from OTS RC drivers to VESC, from homegrown remotes to commercial remotes and from wheelchair wheels to pneumies, but I still had those Headways collecting dust.
Recently a friend needed a large amount of 12V capacity to run bubble machines on a float in a local parade (human powered only). I pulled out those batteries, added a BMS and stuffed them all into a Pelican case.
Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of it, but I think it had sufficient capacity to run an inverter and the (AC) bubble machine for at least 5 hours.
