Davega hook-up to Stormcore using Flipsky VX2 (UART)

I think you’re maybe runing into the uart3 and uart2 accidentally share a pin so both are not availabe at the same time. (tho not sure if that’s a 100D problem in addition to the 60D problem)

searching for uart3 on the forums finds stuff.

The uart pins of the mcu are mapped to specific set of pins. So there are like 3 different sets of pins for each of uart drivers and you can select between them for each of the uarts. I accidentally selected two sets of uart 3 pins instead of one from uart 2 and one from uart 3. So you could use the ports alternating but not simultaneously. You can also use the pins for uart output at the side and i2c from the main but nobody really uses i2c except for sensors and such.

If it’s a stormcore 60d, it does nothing (they messed up wiring the original batch)

If it’s a 60d+, it does the same thing as the other uart port. It just allows you to connect another uart device. For example, you can get remote telemetry from one port and plug a data logger like robogotchi or metr into the other.

Quick note, you have to be on FW 5.3 or higher to activate the uart3 port on the 60d+
