Nice. I just printed with some alloy 910 the other day for the first time. Shit is solid.

What you did and not what what you thought of doing. Haha. Basically having springs tight.

Need some help here,

My part cooling fan was off when it should be on. I wiggled the blue and yellow wires and got the fan to come on and off intermittently. Eventually, fan just completely stopped responding to all wire movement.

I’ve taken it off the printer and am running continuity checks on it:

I’d expect these measurements to be equal and suspect a break in the wire somewhere but see no physical damage to it. Before I slice things apart, anyone have some input?

I would just solder new wires if continuity is the problem.

Makes sense to me. Brb

Alright so it was the negative (blue) wire giving no continuity. I noticed both wires were several inches too long so I took a gamble, desoldered the fan cable and sliced 6" off. Resoldered it on and checked continuity, great. Just for fun I decided to check the 6" section I snipped, go figure… no continuity. Plugged it in and the fan was working again!

Wired everything back through the sleeving nicely and went to print. Yep you guessed it, no part fan again.

Repeated all above steps and found the positive yellow wire wanted to be cool like his bro blue wire and stop being a wire. Snipped the same 6" off to even the cable out and got the same exact results as before, everything working flawlessly.

Wired everything back up nicely again again and am back to printing happily.

@SeanHacker I am digging up old posts today. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I finally built an enclosure and picked up some CF polycarbonate. Did you end up using much cooling? My last PC prints had terrible layer adhesion even at 285 C. I am printing this at 260 / 95.

I got mine at 265/80 and 50% fan speed.

I couldn’t get black shelves in a timely fashion…so I ended up with brown and it drives me nuts. :joy:

Where did you get your acrylic sheets from? And at what cost?

Home Depot - about $12
