Concave pads and glass frit, oh my.

I think I’m using the right category for this. I’ve done some decent amount of research on this now but I can’t seem to find the answers I need.

Possibly good to record as I go anyway as it might come useful if it’s doable.

First things first the, the question:

When adding concave pads to a deck (in this case a trampa deck) via epoxy gluing, would anyone suppose it would be a bad idea to do glass frit? I am assuming since there isn’t any other reinforcement, it might just tear off.

This is purely theoretical, but, i would think you should do a layer of epoxy on the deck itself, then attach the pads to that, then 2-3 more coats over the deck AND pads. That should lock them in pretty well, and allow for a smooth surface to frit. Alternatively, a fabric skin over the pads could work as well.
