Cheapest lifepo4 new cells

These are big cells and make building a pack easy with no need for any in parallel. Welding to them will be almost impossible but lots of people solder or do compression connections.

I’ve seen them listed as 75 amp peak on batteryhookup.

Wow

Sorta off topic - I’ve ordered from BatteryHookup before (not these cells) I thought they were straight shooters. Bummer to hear about how they handled the situation with this one. Makes me wonder if they’re a company I should even consider in the future.

On topic - MOQ is “Half” the stock which would be just short of 25k and would be nearly as much in freight weight. Gross.

Probably great for a home off-grid system. Not for an esk8.

I did weld this cells without problem with the Flux I have on the store and the AWithZ welder.

I made busbars and also modified a encloser for it. I can share the files for you guys.

I have a video testing a pack.

I was considering making a 4s4p combo starting/deepcycle battery from these Cells for My Van, but the battery in there has a dedicated 130 amp alternator, with manually adjustable voltage regulator, and can indeed deliver over 116 amps when cold, at high idle, and slightly exceed that rating at 1800+ engine rpm.

The BMS required for that would be too expensive for me, And overvoltage overcurrent interruptions at that output level would fry the Diodes in the alternator. I’d have to have a small 12 lead acid battery in parallel to prevent total load dump, and its just another project I’d likely not ever get around to.

And i’d rather have 280Ah+ Eve prisimatics if going that far.

It’s a long video (feature film length!) can you summarize and tell if you tested the current draw and good to 75amps burst? I’ve read some of these cells are different but look the same.
