that ali acharger only adjusts current, voltage is predefined
led drivers are probably better for that, mine can do anything between 10s-12s at up to 4 amps, it’s heavy though

Dang it, if it can do 10-12s then it would be perfect
Old thread but for the sake of additional options I thought I’d add this panel mounted XT60E-M to the list here. Don’t think I’ve seen anyone use them and they seem like the best option, secure mounting and loads of amperage headroom.
Waterproof covers available?
Otherwise I’d just use the opposite plug and fill with epoxy maybe
Yeah apart from epoxying plugs there’s no perfect solution, there are cheap rubber caps available on Ali but I wouldn’t bother. On the other hand…
But why so fixated on “waterproof”? Submerged in seawater maybe.
Millions of rigs running high amps through rainstorms even river crossings with plain old Andersons, long as it’s fresh water not even that conductive.
Yeah more for idiot proofing I suppose. God forbid a stray bit of wire or metal shaving happen to fall in there the wrong way
Totally, stray conductive shit falling in there would be my biggest concern/fear.
Thanks, I used TPU and it fits snug in my xt60 chargeport.
is there not a female version of the panel mount or a 3d file of sorts? so you could flush mount the female to the case with enough outer space for the whole male cap to slide up in there
Honestly, unless your charging requirements exceed 10A, I think dual port charging is the easiest to implement.
Two 5.5x2.1 jacks should easily be able to handle 10amps from two smaller chargers running at once. This could be stretched to as much as 15 depending on the plugs
For high amperage single connectors, GX16, XT60. It’s mostly a matter of preference
An LP20 connector is by far the best hi-amp charge port available.

And huge. That won’t fit on the vertical walls of any single stack enclosure at 30x32mm. And it’s at least 12mm protrusion from the surface it’s mounted to.
It’s a nice connector but I barely got the GX16 into the side of my enclosure
I haven’t had any trouble. I have one mounted on a @BigBen single stack Evo enclosure and 1 on an ABS single stack. Mount the connector on the inside of the enclosure with a spacer to hold the bolt heads on the outside. I’ll post pics when I get back, couple of days.
What gauge wires would you use to connect the charge port?
Depends on what your currents will be
20AWG silicone-insulated high-strand-count tinned copper wire is usually fine and use it if you don’t know what else to use.
Think i did this once, can’t remember what happened but i do recall BMS smoke.
