I’ve done quite a bit of soldering recently (in some drone clubs in college), so I feel pretty confident on that front, but I’ll be sure to watch that video and keep all the safety in mind when building.
If u do decide to skip the discharge function and use a smaller bms it’s very worth getting a “smart” one so can see on phone and also add a fuse between esc and battery.

Adding a fuse there defeats the entire purpose of using a BMS for charging only.
You should still have a fuse for your charge port, always. There is really no downside to that, only benefits.

Some disagree.. and some disagree sometimes.
If ur skipping discharge on ur bms adding a high current fuse is a good thing in my mind. Part of the purpose of skipping the discharge function is so it’s cheaper and smaller and I trust a fuse more than a bms.
