Do caliber ii mounts fit on gen 1 trucks?
Reason I ask is I would like 148mm (8.5”) trucks and can only seem to find gen 1 in that size. I was looking at SR tkp but I’m a cheap bastard and would like to spend 50 on trucks instead of 200.

This is for my new coyote deck build single drive, trying to keep it compact
why not go for the caliber 2 for roughly the same price?

Nope, hangar profile is different, this one’s a bit rounder.
I know Caliber I fits.
I don’t want the wheels out past the deck looking like a monster truck lol

You could consider 9" caliber II or I trucks, it’s a bit shorter.

Caliber I and II have a similar profile shape. You can use Caliber II mounts on them
Is there any negatives about caliber 1 trucks? Keeping in mind I know they are tkp (I want this) and more narrow (less stable at speeds)
Ah apologies, the Caliber I I’m talking about is a RKP, almost similar to Caliber II, which was why I suggested that. If you are going for a TKP build, you will need a custom motor mount. Perhaps @Janux-esk8 can help with that. He has quite a line up of many different mounts for many trucks.
I think @b264 has a board with tkp caliber truck.
