Cable riser pads worth it?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if I should get cable riser pads. They would make my build look cleaner however I don’t know if my wires would fit.

Their are 4 wires from a FS6354. I’m planning on shrink wrapping all of it together for water proofing and looks. Also, the motor wires aren’t long enough to make it all the way around to the esc. I’ll need to connect the phase wires (maybe the sensor) outside of the enclosure. Possibly in the riser.

Any places that have some good ones?

Thanks
Max

EDIT (because I can’t Edit the post):

I could 3D print them but I don’t trust PLA holding 150lbs up 25mph+. I could have someone do it with ABS or something else but I don’t have a problem with buying them.

Riptide tunnel risers or a ABS print are the easiest. I can make the CAD file for the riser if you want but you need to get it printed by someone else

I have 3d printed ones. Used ABS, no infill, completely solid. Works just fine.

But wont urethane or rubber give you a smoother ride?

Ok those look cool. No need for the CAD file. Thanks though

That’s what pneumatic or 110 TB wheels are for. Any “flex” in the baseplate just seems to make my truck bolts loose and mess with handling slightly on bumps.

Personal opinion. I know a lot of boosted riders like the rubber risers to compensate for bad wheels.

Lmao I actually am sitting right next to a stealth. The boosted ride is really smooth but so are the wheels.

If your useing them as risers then your compressing the layers I don’t see any issue. I’m useing some 3D Printed PLA+ riser with integrated lights charge port and loop key.

Just think of the Orientation when printing so there’s minimal force pulling the layers apart

I have a couple printed in petg at a high infill rate. Can sell you one if you want. PM me if you’re interested. JPEG_20200713_125558|281x500

I am getting this effect using the cheap silicone riser pads that haggy sells.

Can’t say they make your ride stable though. lol

If you’re using riptides one, it’ll fit. This one is using dual 6354s as well

Can you take a pic of the other side

Ok thanks, are they worth it you think?

Definitely, it holds the wires in position and will have zero chance of motors rubbing on your wires, go for it. I have three builds using tunnel risers.

Ok I’ll get them. $40 seems like a lot for risers tho. Are they soft?

It’s like a hard urethane. Not squishy soft, but can be bent slightly.

Would you say it absorbs some bumps and stuff

Risers do not help much with bumps. If you want a comfortable ride, get big wheels and cushy shoes, that’s what i’ve experienced. I have tried soft risers as well and there was minimal difference.
