Buying Hummie Hubs

I know it’s a long shot but does anyone have some Hummie Hubs they would like to sell me and ship to Australia?

I have fallen in love with them so any help or leads on a set would be appreciated

Thanks man!

I messaged the kickstarter guy a couple of days ago so fingers crossed and I have just messaged the Jacobs hubs guy for more info. I have only been into esk8 for a year and have never herd of them.

They won’t hold a candle to how refined hummie hubs are, but they’ll function. I think they could be a good buy so you can see what you like and dislike about them, before you get the hummies

Do you think raptor hubs would be better fit? I can get a set locally.

Absolutely NOT

Those are the worst option you could possibly choose

Ok thanks man. That’s good to know

You will get seriously injured with raptor hubs. If you need budget hubs I would reccomend hubs from a Chinese vendor (or the jacob hubs) to tide you over until you get a set of hummie hubs

they are super great if you like the sound of exploding and melting hubs

Don’t forget the feeling of your face cheese-grating on the asphalt!

Ok guys message received!
What about meepo hubs?

@OtherGuys do you know if Meepo / wowgo / ownboard still all use the same hubs?

Because if they do, @Coreywolf then they’re probably alright. Those chinese hubs are "good enough to ride”, but durability is always a concern :man_shrugging:t2:

can you take a screenshot of the seller’s post?

It wasn’t a post just a mate.

oh ok

Mates don’t let mates ride raptors.

PS… if anyone here who isn’t my mate wants some raptor hubs… 200AUD

I’ve got a set of Meepo hubs on a DIY and they are good for the price. Ive had 3 meepo boards prior to this and no issues with motors but always sell them after 1000km or so haha, so not 100% sure of durability long term. The current set I have on a DIY I have them running at 20amps per side with a Maker X. They have done around 1000km now too but only about 500km on the higher amp settings. Previously they were run on a Hobbywing ESC maxing at 15amp per motor.

I think they are a decent starter motor for sure!
