Bullbar options?

Building a 4wd with MBS matrix ii trucks and looking for bullbar options…

Jens has suggested using these

But I was hoping for a bar running across as well, anyone done anything similar with Matrix iis?

Isn’t that for Matrix II’s?

Ask @NoWind to drill and tap some extra holes so you can connect to two with metal bars in between?

Any good bullbar would be using the same holes in the hanger as the mounts would. Since you want 4wd that would be a problem.

i like the look of those motor protectors though.

@malJohann one step ahead of you mate  just worried it might weaken the ring too much tho

Jens has said it isnt viable to tap a thread into the guards I linked above as there isnt enough material :pensive:

I wonder why the trampa bullbars are attached to the truck rather than the deck? It seems to make more sense to attach to the deck as there is less chance of damage?

because they give some extra protection from things which hit the motors from the down.
if you mount the bullbar on top of the deck that wouldn´t help a lot.

@NoWind bullbars also mount on the truck.

I guess im just more prone to running into things rather than things attacking me from below :joy:

if you would mount it on top the bar would need to be longer as well to save the motors when running backwards into a wall

from the down it´s just more close to the motor cans.

There are some diy solutions.
3D printed or from light bars for bicycles and motor bikes. Just depends what you want and need them for.
Just as handle to carry your board around more easy or as motor protection.

the hardest thing is finding a clamp, the bars and stuff are easy to source… if you buy just the trampa mounts it costs a ton for what it is…

What about this?

it works but i can imaging on a hard impact that the arms would just swivel on the hangers.
Not that i want to crash my board but i’m thinking ahead on possible scenarios

Yeah it’s not gonna protect your motors.
It will only work as handle bar.
But if you want something solid you will not come around some cnc works
