Bought a Sur ron - selling some stuff to fund go fast bits (Demonseed 44'' inside)

You won’t get that option from anyone (I doubt), here is the company with about 20 listings for the same bike with different specs :no_mouth: pure Alibaba

I think they are looking for USD 3457.00 inc delivery

Haven’t been to derail jail in some time, sorry not sorry

I’ve heard of Luna cycle doing this before a few years ago but with some wild stipulations. Zero warranty and you’d have to pick it up.

main thing I’ll contribute:

If you aren’t going to mod the XXX is best bang for your buck.

However, the Sur-ron/Talaria Sting (but mainly sur-ron) after market is 2nd to none when it comes to high powered ebikes. This plus the easier resale of stock parts is what drove me to my LBX. I guess I’ll also say don’t buy new especially if you are going to mod, its not worth it.

Nice! Been looking at the FarDrivers but there are so many damn models it’s a deep dive. What functionality are you getting out of the port? Biggest thing holding me back is the loss of turn signals, head lights, etc that the stock controller supports. I was considering even just keeping the old controller in the bike to handle the peripherals while using a beefier esc to just handle motor output.

I haven’t gone deep into controllers auxiliary functions. idk if FD supports that kinda stuff to be honest.

I would just make a separate harness for all that, I’ve done it before its a good amount of wiring but nothing crazy main thing is just getting the right kinda switches/controls for your handlebars. I also don’t run a screen, just a GPS speedo and my phone for any motor/batt stuff.

If you are keeping the stock onyx batt highest model I’d go with is the 72680. You can’t pull that much DC from the stock onyx batts even the bigger AH ones. 72680 will do 350DC/680Phase so well above what that onyx batt will pull, but gives you the option for more performance in the future. ALSO I’ve heard Kelly is coming out a controller that has field weakening finally and honestly Kelly’s work better with hubs than FD’s from what I’ve heard/seen. Might be a good route for you as well.

Well put, thanks for tall the info. I have no need for a screen on mine either, just trying to keep a few “street legal” bits but as you said, it’s just turn signals and headlights at that point. Nothing a new wiring harness can’t sort out. I saw the field weakening mentioned the other day from Kelly and am stoked to see how it goes. Was hoping to tear things down over the winter but I’ll be patient for now.

That’s solid! I’ve been considering a used sur ron for the bike park near me. Lots of offroad trails that a lighter bike would have some real fun with. It’s awesome for esk8 too but some of the paths only get maintained to bike tire width.

Best PEV I’ve built/bought - its just so versatile

I’m sorry to say it but I mainly just ride my boards to work now, almost all my joy rides are on the ron

I was the same way, then i broke my thumb! I can’t use the ron throttle.
So I’ve been back on the onewheel.
i tried to ride the eskate with the throttle in the opposite hand. That got sketchy real fast!
