New forum new build thread right?

I wanted something in my life that was both slender and incredibly flexible, while still being curvy in all the right places. I’m terrified of women and my waifu body pillow exploded in the wash, so obviously the Loaded Vanguard is the next logical option.

It would have been undoubtedly cheaper to buy a boosted board but I already can’t afford either so might as well throw away my sanity along with my money. Sorry I didn’t write a lot I planned to do a super cool detailed build thread like some of the guys on here who have their lives together but I was embarrassed of the absolute hack job hidden beneath these super sexy enclosures so I didn’t take any. Sorry.

Edit for clarity as of 2024:

May 2019- First board finished, 12s LiPo with 4.12 vesc. 12 mile range (boooo). Blew four (4!) vescs and board was rendered useless by late summer because I was in denial that 50.4V and shitty vescs don’t mix and then I ran out of money.

August 2019- Somehow got a free Unity from EnertionBoardsUSA who then promptly went out of business. Back in da game. Range still sucks.

June 2020- 10s4p Samsung 30Q upgrade pack!! 25+ mile range! (wooo!)

Literally have not opened the board since, put thousands of miles on it, I feel like for safety reasons I should definitely take a look sooner than later, but if it ain’t broke…

Although this build is done I will keep this thread a work in progress as I add in pictures of the interior as well as updates. I noticed that there were a lot of people on esk8builders that were new to esk8’s and wanted to build boosted clones, so I geared this thread towards them

Did you end up using 3S1P or 3S2P of those lipos? If it is 3S1P, how much extra space is there left, as that enclosure seems quite big for a 5Ah battery

12s1p. There is not enough space for more than 3 batteries, see here.

The bms takes up a lot of space but there is still not enough space for another battery. The batteries are also the only a few mm shorter than the enclosure

if you have the 12s enclosure you can fit a 10s4p with high discharge bms

Haha, thanks for noticing. Those pictures was taken just after I finished the build and I was still testing it to make sure everything was working right. Here it is some 300-400 miles later:
