not so scare , my setup is very low power at 80A max battery current
sorry, these are 190 kv
but yours will be roughly 40% as loud
mine are straight, no grease, slightly lose backlash

that + i personally don’t find a need for it all too much
like, i put a dab on so it has a really thin film for corrosion prevention but other than that, it’s basically raw dawgin. haven’t had issues with wear or heat since imm light, tho i am a very agressive rider

3.95 ratio straight cuts, 12s, 170kv, 2wd. It’s not quite on @poastoast level, but it’s close.
PSA - 21t straight cut pinion requires extra DIY dremel work to get the correct backlash.

Helical is quieter but still makes some noise.
i have the same ratio but 190kv and 18s
You’ll be quieter then because you’ll probably be using motors at lower rpm mostly.
Unless you’re a psycho who does 50mph speed runs
you right , and it will help to keep cruising at 30mph without heating problem , and also more watthour so better mileage if i not hard with the trottle , btw nice sound! i him sure you get atention on the street as well , i can’t wait to finish my build .

Done about 250km with my set and a pair of 6386 205kv motors, I swear they’re getting quieter as they wear in.
That saying though I still don’t need to call out to people when I pass them on a bike lane.
