Hey @Boardnamics
I’m interested in buying the MBS mount, but I only need the motor plate seeing as I will be using these on your ‘caliber style’ hangers, and I don’t need the hanger clamp. Any chance you can throw me an invoice for one?
I asked before if those plates were compatible with the regular clamps and sadly I was told they were not.
Damn. I rlly need something that’s longer than the typical ones he sells. I have a normal one and it don’t fit the bill no more. Too close to the trucks what a shame. Thx
yeah longer plates for caliber style at that price point would be nice.
Definitely. And even then if the clamp and hardware didn’t add to the cost it would be like 15-20$
Hard to find a happy medium that’s not quite like this…
Now that’s some length
If you’re in the US, you can get some plates laser cut for pretty cheap. You’re limited in what you can have done, but the price and speed is hard to beat.
Mmmmphhh
I’m wary of these. They always make you sign up and then tell you the piece that you want costs an arm and a leg because you are ‘outsourcing rapid prototyping’ and your paying for convince blah blah
Will check it out tho, thx
It’s pretty straightforward if you have a drawing. Upload your file, pick your price, pay, wait.
I would get those made but they would be seriously expensive. Not many people request this part.
?
How far apart is the bolting pattern on the caliber clamp compared to the matrix one (give or take)? They look so close to one another
They look close because the Matrix II is M5, so proportion wise they’re very similar.
Bolt pattern for Caliber is 36mm.and M4
Matrix II is 43mm and M5
There is a chance I will do a small run of just longer plates in the future.
Could probably make an adapter.
Even if I could have an adapter, I would never sell the Matrix arm alone. Inventory would get messed up
I would just buy the matrix mounts. Jb weld the matrix clamp to the caliber clamp. (After installation) then bolt matrix motor Plate to matrix clamp.
Jb weld? Na. Isn’t that just an epoxy?
Plus I don’t got all the real estate in the world to add several clamps to the same side of a hanger,
Atleast I don’t think I do
Possibility tho
Clamps taking up space wouldn’t be a issue.
Jb weld is stronger than you may think.
So your telling me you use jb weld on your motor mounts?
I’ve used it before on my mounts. The only downside is it’s permament. Like, they will never again be separated for any reason. If you need to work on something, you replace the hanger and motor mount. But it doesn’t break if mixed, applied, and cured properly.
I have.
But I have more experience using it for automotive repair.
