Boardnamics ABEC Adapters

Ordered ABEC pulley adapter from Boardnamics

Are they supposed to look like this? I’ve never seen an ABEC pulley that only has rods like this . I am using MBS all terrain urethanes and there is play in the pulley when pressed in. I feel like, when any amount of torque is applied, these little rods are going slip right on over the bumps in the ABEC wheel openings.

Update:

with the bearings pressed in, there is no play.

I should have thought about that before I posted, but didn’t think about it until after.

Everything I’ve received from @Boardnamics seems to be really high quality, with extremely low tolerances, which is awesome.

Just had to many dealings with shitty sellers, so I was feeling skeptical.

They didnt slip on mine. And i was 110 kg last summer.
And also. For one to slip, all have to slip at the same time. Won’t happen.
(I think)

Put them on so that when you accelerate it’s already on the spokes, only chance of slipping is on hard break which is less common than acceleration

@ZachTetra That’s one of the things I was thinking about. I still don’t like the fact that there’s play. Maybe it’ll go away once I press the bearings in.

There’s play in mine, and that’s just with my hands.

How far do yours sit from the wheel?

Mine was tight. Sold the m1’s. Found one photo.

Best i got.

It will be different once the truck axle nut is on and it’s in compression.

Are those mbs wheels a true abec core?

yes

i was wrong

I personally would put the “safer” configuration on the braking direction.

If there’s any failure, I’d prefer it not to be while braking.

These aren’t abec core, they are abec clone core

wait, did they change it? iirc they used the true abec before
