Boardnamics 220mm short or tall bushings???

I’ve been running short bushing in my boardnamics trucks for about a year. To me, the alignment of the pivot to the pivot cup always looked off but I didn’t really care enough to change it. I just threw some talls in there for fun though and found that it turns much better and looks much more aligned. Does anyone know if the boardnamics trucks are made for talls(similar to the Caliber III’s)?

I’ve always used Riptide .600" Bushings . Bought talls by mistake once . No bueno .

Yep i think they are designed for the .6 longboard bushings. Thats what i used.
I dont think the tall bushings work with them.

I’ve been running tall boardside, short roadside and it seems to work pretty well. I wonder if the geometry was modeled after Caliber 2’s or 3’s

Geometry is modelled after cal 2 but you can use them on a cal 3 44 baseplate which would give you the option to run tall bushings (0.75). Normally you want regular height (0.6)

As Dinnye said they are based on cal2. Can you post a pic with tall bushings?
I have bn220 too

Hangers are modeled after Caliber II. For Caliber II baseplates, the boardside bushing has to be regular 0.6". The roadside bushing could be regular or tall, whatever your kingpin length allows, as that bushing does not affect truck geometry.

yes i think something looks off, they are probably made for short bushings

Ya I think so too. Prly gonna keep it this way tho! I love the feel(dispite the goofy bushing setup)

Just be mindful that the boardside tall bushing is not going to contact the bushing seat of the hanger flush. This will result in uneven compression, that you seem to like the feel of. I don’t think it will fatigue the hanger’s bushing seat too much and compromise its durability though. The pivot cups will probably prematurely wear and develop slop. Still not the end of the world though.

It’s strange tho bc it seemed more misaligned when I had the shorts in. But I was just tweaking idk
