That was in all fabi’s vids… just flipping the cups.
when i had my black carve 3, i switched to a their cone shaped bushing on the front roadside and flipped the washer over to be flat on the board side. helped with turning and was stable up to 32mph. sadly, that’s the fastest the board would go and one of the main reasons i dived into diy.
Yeah well top speed of this is in the 40s and although I don’t necessarily need to hit that, riptide bushings are usually smoother anyway -also, I don’t like watch fabi anymore but from back when they released I do remmeber him flipping cups
Not bad at all, guess I’ll try it out next time I ride
I think that’s a hard cap limit to turning radius of the Onsra’s unfortunately. The most I could get out of my turn on these was a 90degree turn on a small sidewalk. This was with flipped cup washers and 87A barrel bushings. It may have been the bushings’ fault though as I was using Evolve ‘high performance bushings’ that apparently used a riptide-like formula.
Rather than continue playing around with bushing types and pairings I just decided to switch the front truck to Flipsky’s 15.2” DKP truck.
I wouldn’t say I necessarily need dkp performance in turning. I’ve gotten by just fine with it as it is right now, just a tad more would be nice to have. I’ll report back once I’ve investigated
Nice pretty straight forward video on the VESC setup. Hopefully will help people that are first getting into it
Just try flipping the front and leaving the rear for starters. Then dewedging the rear. Then go to barrel road chubby boardside.
Haha there were a few he made. Couple for hummie and couple for omakase, I think
This is just an observational question. Why didn’t u flip the battery the other way up so that the balance wires were board side not road side? It seems counter intuitive to have the leads on the side that’s going to flex outwards ?
To be honest the amount of flex is so minimal the difference would be small. You could do it either way. However it was much easier to attach Velcro to the flat side
That’s a nice clean build. Well done.
