Big Ben / Hummie Deck Loop Key Mounting

I can do that too but my key is going to sit even deeper than that since I’ve have minimal ground clearance

2nd option would be to mount at the baseplate.

Yeah I’m running on thane, not sure bout you. But it’s not horrible but not “ideal”

I’ll show you a picture in a bit with what I’m dealing with

Baseplate mounting might be worth it tbh

Just have to block the hole I already created for the loop key

Yeah shoot me a pic!

thanks for bringing this back up, I was just noodling over where to put a loop key on a hummie. @deucesdown wins for… ah… function over form, lol, I might have to do this :joy:

I was too lazy to make my loopkey longer so I said screw it

It could be made pretty! I just give no fucks. The big ziptie is for EPO (emergency power off).

Here’s another

Haha the hex head bolts. If I could find cheap long bolts I’d switch to them for cutaway decks. Holding a phillips tha’s designed to cam out while turning the locknut is not fun.

At least you’re true to your word, haha.

Haha I didn’t think it was this low :joy:

I’ll have to move the charge port and loopkey to the baseplate for sure and probably topmount

This build is pushing it with clearances

Ahhh yes. Almost the same board. Nice to know

Top mount? How’s your board running

Not yet. Waiting for parts. Antispark
Then assemble and do balance leads. Mock up.
It’s slow…

also need to strengthen after I routed the cutout

Top mount allows space for the cables in the cutout. Also charge cables there

Yup

Full lean 10mm hex key

Will have to change a couple things but I have most the things here to give me a little more clearance
