Hey guys, so received my SS Big Ben enclosure for the hummie deck and was wondering if anyone here has mounted a loopkey on the side of one of these enclosures. if so can you share a photo
Print it or find someone to print it for you. Cut the appropriate hole. Epoxy, jb-weld or any strong adherent.
Yes I got one of those printed just wanted to see clearance for interior due to the enclosure being so slim
The xt90 is what will take up the most space. The printed mount can be made to be no wider (outside to inside width) than the thickness of the enclosure.
All you need is a 1x1 inch space for the internal xt90. Probably doesn’t even need that.
Pictures would help. Just to be sure exactly lol
I ran mine out to the rear truck
Was typing that thank you lol.
This one is a good option
Won’t work if he’s running the hummie with his trucks dropped thru
On my setup there’s a little gap in the dropthru hole. Loopkey’s topside.
PICz?
I made it work @moon but it’s mounted at this angle on the enclosure
In that case of an emergency, my knuckles are getting taken off
I can do that too but my key is going to sit even deeper than that since I’ve have minimal ground clearance
2nd option would be to mount at the baseplate.
Yeah I’m running on thane, not sure bout you. But it’s not horrible but not “ideal”
I’ll show you a picture in a bit with what I’m dealing with
Baseplate mounting might be worth it tbh
Just have to block the hole I already created for the loop key
Yeah shoot me a pic!
thanks for bringing this back up, I was just noodling over where to put a loop key on a hummie. @deucesdown wins for… ah… function over form, lol, I might have to do this
I was too lazy to make my loopkey longer so I said screw it
