It is a bit of a lump… I use it on my helmet off road as it is unbeatable for giving an even compact flood with pretty good throw…
I’m pretty turned on. Dual xml wihh optics, all that thermal mass, and a good driver should be pretty awesome. Got any gutshots?
I’m afraid not… I’ll open it up for you on Monday at work.
I move job in 4 weeks, bye bye lathe, cnc mill, laser, 3d printer… I don’t know how I’m going to cope with not making stuff I need!
omg new job better be worth it! If I had funds for all that equipment, I still couldn’t afford the building to put it in.
I stayed at a dead end job for year so I had access to a printer, this seems like a mistake.
Anywhere i can get more information on designing/ making a light like that?
I wa inspired by this lamp

Then mined candlepowerforums for information.
It’s all about thermal management with LED’s. my design put the LEDs and the driver circuit on opposite sides of the same bulkhead. So the lamp is 2 chambers and the whole thing is a heatsink.
well. this thread went somewhere for sure.
That’s a big board. But where’s the battery pack hidden? do those huge pneumatics really kill the range? solid lights tho. /s
