Can you post a pic of the damage? Could it be vibration and can you isolate it with some hotglue or silicone? Ive also had wires break from getting scored by the wire stripper making a weak spot (using a stripper that’s too small) easy fix by just scoring the insulation then breaking the insulation off.

Sounds weird, what fw version is it running?
Did you have to update it and could it be corrupted?
Could be that it detected the wrong motor settings, is the problem repeatable when you rerun detection?
Did you set up the vx4 before or after motor detection? Pwm/ppm or uart input for the vx4
Post up all your settings from vesc tool and someone smarter than me will take pity on us and may help 
for the bluetooth module is clk, io and rst supposed to be connected while riding?
I know it’s an old post but I am at the point where I want more power out of my board than the 100A per motor the regular DV6 is officially rated for. If you had success with it, I am willing to risk increasing the current, my temperatures are well in control. Just to clarify… Was this a regular DV6 or a DV6 Pro? And how many battery amps did you run?
DV6 pro with 80 battery amps per side.
I blew up the regular DV6 at 110 motor amps

I thought the DV6 was rated for 120a per side 
The unit itself says 100A, but they advertised 120A per side on their website for a long time.

But I also blew up doing this.
I guess your experience was better than mine. Also I suspect belts are more forgiving for torque than GDs

Just switched over my VX4 to UART+PWM rather than just PWM and I’m getting a weird kinda grinding noise from the motors.
I’m also noticing a red light on the VESC itself (which I think indicates a fault) I don’t have any kind of telemetry in this board, is there a way to get a better idea of what’s going on outside of buying a new logger?
Input setup went smoothly except I did accidentally try to use the 7p uart cable Rather than 8p, is there any chance I could’ve broken something shifting the pins over by 1?
