Do orange X strips around the foot areas then do green hubs for his grenade gauntlets
Red or black reflective tape lined along the side of the board

Good ideas. Will look into this some more
HAha im glad you took my joke well
I’m having more made. Will be finished this Thursday.
Enticing!
How do you feel about having strips of grip tape just under the foot areas instead of over the entire deck?
I actually have already done this haha I just haven’t posted updates yet. I speed built a bunch of this board so I could stick the new BN gear drives on it.
I had some extra camo grip tape left over from my hummie build so I stuck it on there for now. I may switch it out later to better fit the theme.
What ratio did you go with and your thoughts?
I went with the highest (5.2) ratio with my 190kv 6384’s.
My thoughts thus far are that I still have my motors set at only 77a instead of like 120, and I haven’t gone past like half throttle yet.
Everything on this board is too new to me to ride it hard yet. When I release my review video on the drives, I’ll have put at least 100 miles on it, but I can’t offer too many solid opinions yet.
I’ve only ridden it a little bit but it’s been awesome so far, with tons of torque.
If you are getting a lower KV, feel free to go with a lower ratio, but if you go with 190, I think you will be happy with the amount of torque on 5.2 for a mountainboard. Again, preliminary thoughts.
That’s why I am asking how you feel about it.
Will you switch it out for one that covers the foot or the whole deck? I am debating if I should get a full griptape or just the foot part for my haero build so I want to know your experience with this partial griptape on the haero. Also would you still feel this way without bindings?
Nahhh no need. I think the strips looks good, and it’s the only place my feet will ever be since I have bindings.
Without bindings, I think I might still feel the same. Since it’s a MTB it will never be pushed by foot, my feet will usually be in the same places. I think I might push it a little wider if I did not have bindings though, maybe 8 inches wide per foot instead of the 6 or so that exists between bindings right now
I trust your advice, I’m going to run 190 kV, so I think I will go for the 5.2
Let me know how it goes
Gave the board a ride today, about 3 miles. Drained my old lipos almost halfway down!
I do have to say, getting used to riding with bindings is pretty interesting. They apply a lot of pressure and I’m still trying to figure out exactly how tight to have them in order to get the most control and benefit out of them. I think I might need to adjust the angle of the rear one to better suit my stance.
I jumped around a little bit to turn around and the enclosure seems like it’s gonna hold up great so far. I definitely need to put some TPU spacers between the enclosure and the deck to stop the screws clacking against it when I jump or hit larger bumps.
The BN gear drives have performed great so far, still sound awesome! I had more than enough power to hit some small trails and hills so far, haven’t maxed out the throttle yet still though.
I wonder if it would be a good idea to start a binding advice and tuning thread. Having never ridden with them before, it’s a little confusing.
Could I get an estimate on the total price and weight of the board?
Hmmm I probably won’t have a total price breakdown until I actually finish the build, but I’m guessing around 2k?
Weight I won’t know yet either, but with the lipos I think it’s around 25 lbs
All - I am still working on this build its just taken the backburner while working on other Youtube videos and projects
I support the name of this build. now I am off to watch bnha.
Haha I’m excited that the storyline is getting back to the main story after the class fights arc
yeah I get that they want to show the characters progress but I am tired of tournament arcs.
