Bafang 350W 26in hubs from Jag35 / Battery Clearing House

@Scepterr my brother got a similar throttle for his ebike. We couldn’t get any of the wire combo’s to work, I think it might have a micro controller in the throttle. But wouldn’t be too hard to open up and rewire to just the switch. The 3 wires for the hall throttle itself were easy to use

Sounds good, finally got something I can put the @Gamer43 antispark in

Yeah I got the two pack, I’ll record a little clip of the fit tonight.

Planning on returning it for now if it isn’t too much to ship idk.

@Fosterqc if you got it with prime you should have free returns. Just say it was defective under the reason. Im interested to see the fit, I saw it was also mentioned in the reviews. But then the ones I received were good.

oh ok cool I’ll have my friend return it, never tried before.

I think my mom’s 26" Giant bike is a 100mm dropout but i’m not 100% sure. Hopefully the brake lines up lol.

update: it fits :astonished: :astonished:  :relaxed: :slightly_smiling_face:

@Scepterr did you use the lock washer things as spacers? One of those on the disk side fills up the room.

With the torque arm the axle is not long enough…
How is this supposed to work?

I set mine up like yours now @Scepterr just for testing purposes.

One last question for now-

What kind of drive is Deez nuts?

the discussion on torque arms in this thread warms my heart.

anyone who got this kit needs one

you need like some skinny ass mofos on either side or something due to the short shaft.

Damn I should have got this one, looks a lot better and still cheap.
@Scepterr did you have a tool to tighten those down? is it like a security nut?

Hmm should pick up some m12 locknuts I guess

My friend had some of these I wonder if that would work lol (bigger ones)

dudes on endless sphere use , like, hack-sawed-and-defiled 10mm (?) open end wrenches before they spend $10 on something that will take them 3 hours to build.

lol

Me? I would get to work with a hacksaw, grinder, and beat these out of some plate I have laying round or in my way.

I really think the “easiest” laziest? thing to do is have someone with a CNC make some proper fitting and thinner steel versions of the loose part I have.

My bike toolkit has the needed wrench

there is only one kinda critical measurement here.

  1. the channel for the flat on the axle.

the arm is hose clamped to the fork and length is fine as long as you can fit a hose clamp onto it. Or find a hole (like one for the disc brake, if equipped) and still you can do this with a drill press, a file and a grinder.

It’s a hacked ebike, not a spaceship, lol

Ok I’ll probably have it when my step dad gets back from his ride

Oh I forgot to say @Mr.Electronicist the bad part is stamped!

@Fosterqc I’m wondering if that’s old stock or something, and they updated it. Of all 3 kits I ordered, all parts were stamped accept for the main piece that goes on the axle. It looked like it was laser cut and was thicker.

hmm yeah like the old stock hadn’t sold out at this warehouse.

What do you think about the axle length problem? it needs to be much thinner

Hopefully my stepdad is able to align the brake disk as well because it is rubbing on one side, still able to spin but needs a little more alignment. I need a TINY bit thicker washer on the axle, but i’m not sure I could put a thicker one on. idk maybe the caliper part can be moved.

I ran into the same problem on my back ebike hub. I just used loctite and am dealing with only half of the nut being in the threads. So far no issues (200+ mi). Can you use the torque arm instead of one of the washers?

I thought about that but haven’t tried yet. let me try

Oooh that was satisfying when it slid in very tightly, but the bolt to link to the arm interferes with the brake disk bolts. let me take pic

I’ll post a picture tomorrow, but I managed to use 3 of those torque arms on my back hub. 2 on one side and one on the other
