@Vanarian Military shoulder bag

My friend modded a motorcycle hardshell backpack last year

I would suggest changing to a hardshell. On one hand, it would be easier to install active cooling and the other, you won’t be risking a fire on your back if you land just right on the wrong rock

I love the LED / EL mods ! Super lit literally haha

Do you know what he drives it with? Looks like a lot of lumens under the hood somehow.

He built a small pack for it. But the rings

can run 9 to 30 volts so almost any diy pack or even a drill battery (for convenience of charge) like me could power them

I’m good with my setup thanks, currently running 6Ah Graphene LiPos at 8S in a fire proof charging bag that provides quite a bit of padding.

My next setup will be high voltage Li-Ion that has cell level fusing. So the inherent fire risk will be low, but I’ll have higher energy density.

Here’s my entry haha

I don’t mean to be crude but doesn’t the board constantly slap your ass and bruise your tailbone if you wear it for long like that resting up against your back?
Awesome pic for the gram tho.

I’ve always wondered this about board backpacks too

I use my backpack if I would be stopping somewhere like a commute to work or a friend’s house to store my gear. I should probably bring basic tools when I use it too now that I think of it…

The lid flap zipper is borked so if I crash everything will spill out. That’s why I also have a pelican laptop case for when I (used to) transport my laptop to and from work. I need to get that and my Lazyrolling zipper fixed!

Battery Backpack;
Is hardshell, 20 liter I believe.
Easy to clean, protective, sleek, and just asking for mods. Like a light kit, battery meter cutout, exposed heat sink, etc

Nope it doesnt, the board acts as a weight and is strapped firmly to the back panel so it doesnt sway around. It comes with a deck sleeve as well to make sure the grip tape doesnt mess up your pants as well.

I can confirm this, I use it to hold boards all the time and never hand any problems.

Surprising. And those evolve decks look quite long so that should fit quite well for my deck… Good to know actually, might make some similar system for my bag.

My favorite bag is my north face 20L slackpack. It’s the perfect everyday size and it’ll hold a full sized MTB with the straps, if you need to walk your board due to unexpected rain.

Wouldn’t riding the board do the same damage as carting the board in the rain? Or is that back padding big enough to cover the whole enclosure acting as a sealing factor?

I guess the board gets more water ingress from puddles? But yea against a storm, no good either?

Nice to see the backpack team grow haha! I received mine, it’s smaller in comparison to other options posted, hard shell too but not fiber hard shell!

yup nail on the head - a little light rain on a board if its got a decent seal is totally fine. When you start flying through puddles or ride in heavy rain that soaks the entry points, thats when you’ll start getting water in the enclosure.
