I have a small local battery building gig and I just had a client ask me if I could build a bigger pack for his Backfire G2. I already told him It wouldn’t be worth it if I used the same enclosure as Backfire already squeezed the most capacity they could in there. Knowing that, he still wants it and is willing to use a different enclosure.
TLDR; What enclosure would fit and look good on a backfire deck? Needs to hold more cells than this or it’s not worth it.

Has to be 12s. Honestly I regret making this thread because I think we’re gonna go the parallel battery route. I’ll charge him something small for the harness and installation and call it a day.
its hard having to tell people you can’t just slap more power in a board because they bought something designed to be lightweight and disposable. Especially when they like their board. Glad you are able to double the pack up though.
Yeah, its gonna make him happier in the end. Others have done it so it’s proven to work. And, if he wants something light again he can go back to a single battery. A DIY pack will do nothing for his hobbywing esc and hub motors.
