Ares X3 has either faulty battery or bms short, worth salvaging or what?

You do realize mboards is in Las Vegas right?

They don’t make gear drive based boards and I refuse to ever own a belt drive ever again so I don’t see the point. Good luck getting them to do anything about this board, fuckers gave me $400 for my Hoyt st Tabor when I sold it to them and that fucking board cost me way too much with how many problems it gave me

Ya true. But they can at least build batteries for you and program a vesc if you go the diy route. One of my toxic traits is i like to buy productions boards, gut them and put in better electronics. One of the reason i stopped buying productions boards. But ya i get your frustrations. If you do decide to go that route I’ll be happy to help ya man

I’m probably going to stop riding this Stella Pro altogether and just rock the bus until I can afford either a Funwheel x7 or before that I might waste my money 1 last time on That Linnpower OX. It’s just so fucking hard finding a reliable, actually decent board and then finding a high quality gear drive that isn’t slapped together in a random factory in China

Really feels like I wasted my last 3 years on esk8 when EUC, one wheels and ebikes have way less problems than the bullshit we keep running into for these thousand dollar boards

The X7 will be a fun Onewheel-style board. The OX will be pretty good too but I wouldn’t put it as high up on a pedestal as you are… it’s not going to be immune to problems. Any of these boards should be gone through and checked for Loctite and such before riding them hard, especially if you have shitty roads. Cheap screws will vibrate loose in no time without proper thread locker and cure time on it.
