These are my bolts unfortunately it was raining when first got them soooo I rode them in the rain without anti-seize and they are pretty corroded.
They still feel pretty smooth so should I use the lubricant or wait for new axles?

Chuck them into a drill and spin them while holding steel wool or scotch brute pad on them. They’ll clean right up
Doing this with a quality steel bristle brush and acetone/degreaser/>90% isopropyl is a great way to perfectly clean the threads as well.
Fun fact: I have turned down a kingpin 0.015mm smaller perfectly with a drill and some sandpaper. Poor mans lathe.
I’ve got some Hangers and Baseplates, again got an issue with the King Pin. On initial inspection by hand they seemed to be good but as soon as I put the Nut on to tighten down the bushings the whole king pin turns when I turned the nut. Good job I haven’t ridden them yet.
Also, there was plenty of adhesive squirting out the tiny hole (have a look at the pic below). It’s very concerning and not safe. Can’t install that on my board.
I got them from @Anubis from Nexus Boards he’s been helpful so far suggesting that he will possibly machine a dowel to fix the issue. I’m sorry to say @Boardnamics but the design does seem flawed. I would rather just get a refund from Nexus Boards for the baseplates and get some Caliber plates.
Anubis I will send you a private video of the King Pin spinning on turning the Nut.
This was the first one I did - I am still pretty confident with proper installation the original design is safe, but its not if there isn’t enough loctite which i think can happen especially if the kingpin is a little oversize and the hole is a little undersized. + human error on my part.
@Bindings_McGee… We have a winner @Anubis! First ever esk8 vendor to do it! We call that progress…wait a minute! We have a nice guy AND he delivers?! Is that possible?
That’s the same compound people use for affixing motor pulleys right?
@eBoosted even made a vid on how to remove a few pulleys glued with Loctite 680 from some motor shafts. Thing is strong and solid as Gibraltar!
Did I do this wrong or do boardnamics mounts really only give you like 5mm of clearance with 85mm wheels?
I’m talking about the bolt that extends almost as far down as the wheel
Sounds about right. You could flip it the other way to get more of an angle but clearances are usually pretty low with smaller wheels
Yes, pressed a pin in all the baseplates I’ve sold months ago
Flip the clamp bolt the other way around. The head of the bolt should face the ground.
That’s what it looked like from the looks of them now, just wanted to make sure
Also are the axels adjustable?
Which axles?
Main axle that the wheels go on. I see there is a place that a Allen wrench can go in
No they’re fixed 50mm length. The Allen key spot is a result of them being made from modified shoulder bolts. Serves as a handy way of me installing them too
Makes sense, I figured that was what it was for
