Configure ESCs seperately like old school⌠Plug in whatever you use as ESC interconnects and go skate
worked thanks
I mean it worked earlier today, then I pulled it apart so I could put the wires and ports in waterproof connections and upon redoing the detection I decided to use ack insteadâŚnow its fucked
We canât tell you without seeing them
If you go into the expert mode, does it say FW 0.0 not supported? (metr)
At the moment I got it to run 3.62 via the vesc tool and both UART devices work but it wonât do motor detectionâŚcannot read configuration?
The ones with the mounts are backwards
thanks
where do i go to RTFM on moving up to FW5 on the Unity?
Buried in the stormcore thread maybe? I think @malJohann might be running it and can assist.
What do you need to know mate? Unfamiliar with the VESC Tool? Canât get the Unity connected on USB?
For a month already.
A guy I ride with regularly uses a 10S6P brick to charge is board on the go. It has a DC to DC converter (Buck boost) this limited the current to 8 amps and always keeps the voltage at 42. I have seen him ride with it plugged in. you could use lipos to save weight and the converter will convert 30V to 50.4V.
thxâŚi downloaded VESC tool 2.03 on my phone and thatâs as far as I got. Iâve never used anything other than FOCBOX UI to program the Unity. Unity is the only ESC Iâve ever worked with.
FW 5.0 is in beta, you have to download the ZIP file from here to get it loaded. Iâd recommend VESC Tool with a USB cable to go to 5.0.
thx so does the VESC tool pull Fw5 down.
Is this a good location for the the receiver. Trouble shooting micro braking/cutouts. I tried everything. The only thing thats not new is the receiver.
Iâm not an expert on placing receivers in skateboards but I know antennas. Minimize the metallics, including graphite fiber laminates, between the receiver and the remote. Keep the receiver as far away from strong flowing currents as possible. I know. That doesnât leave a lot of good options in a skateboard.
I have have tight heat shrink wrapping on my bundles of motor and sensor wires I need to trim back. What is the best tool to do it with? Silicone shielded wires are nice for routing but it wouldnât take much to cut them.
