For testing purposes, would it be a bad thing to plug a single focbox directly to a battery without an antispark/button to have the battery turn on/off?
Like the focbox will always be on, but I would be just testing it if it would work.

One time? Probably fine. Just know the spark/inrush current may be damaging to the components if you’re plugging in something 10s and up.

Oh, I did it twice, (heard a spark twice too…) But I just wanted to test if this focbox is working, and I don’t really have anything else to plug it into.
But I’ll definitively avoid that in the future, thanks.

heya, ive read the in the pneumatic wheel thread that trampa superstars are good for 5” tires… i want a small street tire with low profile for my first pneumatics, any recommendations? a source in EU would be ace also

I’m getting a weird jerk when accelerating and breaking…it only happens once, more when long braking. feels like a car engine with a bad spark plug (missing) not real strong just feels weird. I notice it more after changing settings on my ESC (Unity). I always calibrate remote. any suggestion I would like more punch (torque) during take off as well.

Gearing 16/60t
Battery 12s6p
Motor MTO6374-HA-C Maytech, tb6380 170kv not installed yet.
motor 60A
max brake current -54A
batter 75A
braking regen -24A
remote PPM forward/brake
kick to start enabled
Remote 2.4GHz mini new but I kept same receiver.

Pics in case I missed sonething… …

Was there a Torqueboards battery teardown anywhere? Thought I remember seeing a video on it.

@torqueboards?

Interesting you are right.
Obligatory @BillGordon

Store is legit, can’t tell you anything about the motors though. Ask @Anubis about them

@jansen open your pm’s !?!

are these the ones seen in the promotioal video on their frontpage? embarassing but i cannot tell :see_no_evil:

Do you know any motors with similar specs by any chance ?

no they are not, the tires featured on the metroboard landing page are 190mm (they fit the same wheel hubs). instead, the 155mm’s look like these

keep in mind that a spacer is used in that picture to slightly widen the hub

The one I have is the C6374, don’t really know of any other motors with similar size/specs for that price.
Currently running Maytech closed can 6374s(MTO-6374-170-HA-C) and power wise they are pretty similar.
The build quality is better on the Maytechs, however they’re also at least double the price.
Never got the sensors working on the C6374 but it was doing fine on 10S and 60A but I only managed to get ~100km on it so far.

I saw the maytech and they are soooo expensive, but I figure people recommend them for a reason so I’ll think about it, thanks !

damn these look awesome :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

looks like ill give them a shot :+1:

We would not leave him out. He’s killing it with his group buys and he was one of the prize sponsors for Build of the Year.
