I think I may be getting the same serial port error…
Is it the one that says “no firmware read response”
and then says “Could not read firmware version. Make sure that the selected port really belongs to the VESC.”?
I am attempting to connect over COM3 on a tb vesc
This has been causing me problems for a few days now and I still cannot figure it out.
I reflashed the firmware with VESC_default.bin successfully using an st link v2.

Just wanted to check but the sensor port is backwards right?
This is how my motor sensor plug is on my motors but it looks like it’s flipped the other way?
Edit: Got it confirmed by someone else too but yeah motor sensors are backwards haha

Do you know if you usually use com3 or com4? if you always have used com4, you should try uninstalling that.
I always use com5 but have com1 too (uninstalled com5)

I do not remember which one I normally used as I have not used the tool in awhile.
Should I try uninstalling all 3 of them?

before uninstalling, go into your device manager and click the tab “View?” and choose “show hidden devices”
after refreshing, open the COM tab again and look for serial USB device. That COULD be your vesc.

I think you may be right, I believe that is it
It will only appear when the vesc is plugged in.
Another interesting thing I noticed was that I get the same “no firmware read response” while attempting to connect over tcp bridge

over tcp bridge
did you check the right adress and port?
The vesc tool shows a wrong server ip adress at first for me. Port is correct. mmw

Alright so this is something I would have never expected…
What I did was go into bluetooth on my laptop.
I uninstalled my airpods and wireless speaker from my known devices.
Restarted my laptop.
When I rebooted vesc tool, I now had the option to connect over COM 5, and now all is running smoothly.
Thank you so much for your help!

All the wheels do this no matter how hard I try to center them.

I’m open to other opinions but I don’t see the hub wobbling, it looks like that tire to me. Short clip though so bonus 20 likes.

Hey guys I have another question,
I just added sensor wire to my board, I ran and applied the detection, and changed to “hybrid mode” on bldc.
Would there be any reason I am not getting any motor temperature information?

What Motor do you have? It’s possible that your sensor doesn’t contain a temp sensor (my TB 6374’s don’t have them for example)

Tire slime to balance the tire, maybe tube slime if its the tube thats fucky. Ride-On is like slime but water soluble and good, but only available in the states.
