Anyone know how to get the black mounting part off my dickyho 6374? Trying to swap my phase wires out but can’t get to then without that plack part being taken off


Has anybody tried using these for a super narrow belt drive build? Believe they are around 150mm wide where the inside bearing or spacer would sit.

What I’d do is have them make the bore maybe a couple thou oversize, and then use a sleeve/bearing retaining compound to hold the bearing in place. Makes it a lot easier on the machinist not to have to shoot for a specific perfect sliding fit. I’ve used Loctite 641 to good effect in the past for this.

641 is medium strength designed to be disassembled later. 648 is nearly permanent unless you use heat.

Anyone help here? This stator ain’t coming off even with a heap of WD40

not familiar with that particular motor, but I’d hazard to guess the the endplate you’re attempting to remove is pressed onto the rear stator bearing…

but I could be wrong…

Both bearings have been removed, the mounting part is pressed hard to the inside of the stator itself. Just not sure if there’s a particular method to this

They’re usually pressed on and/or loctited. I’d suggest the liberal application of heat.

Be aware, you are going down a rabbit hole. By the end you may end up needing to fully rewind, and/or replace the bearings, and/or re-epoxy the stator. You have been warned.

Got it! Just put the end of this tool in the top and just hammered till it come off, no damage to the motor that I can see

So thanks to the infinite wisdom of China the other motor, from the same seller, has a different ID so my method won’t work here. Gonna have to get more creative and use more WD40

Click the little question mark, there are tips in there. I usually have to increase the duty cycle to 0.12 or more and sometimes increase the current as well. Follow the tips.

Hey guys former torqueboards fanboi, and full time newb here.

I had an issue over Thanksgiving where the 4 bolts connected to the motor would slip and cause the belt to come loose.

Must have tightened and retightened the thing 5 times in 3 or 4 hours. Realllllly looking forward to that TB or BKB gear drive.

Any tips for how to eliminate or reduce the issue? The loctite didn’t do the trick unfortunately…

How long did you let it cure?
How much did you use?
What tools are you using?

6 hours? Just a set of Allen wrenches and a small dollop, maybe the size of a pea on the screws

Are they a good solid fit in the heads? If they wiggle a bit it’s hard to wrench them down properly.

Good, most guys use too much

They are a solid fit , bit after 30 minuites of riding, I hear the siezing noise and turn the thing okk to fix the slippage.
