Lol I love that
Looks like my solution at the time was reloading the VESC firmwareā¦ Already did that 4 times because even running PWM only runs on side 2 and gives the āold firmwareā shit on side 1
Thats also the reason why i haven updated my board in months. My firmware is 3.52 with vesc tool 1.08 i think from around March. Never got rid of that message but once i got it i never touched it again.
Sticking with a known quantity? I already deleted the older toolā¦ Just the 1.25 version now
saved most of them. You never know
I managed to sleuth 1.16 out of the interwebs, but does anyone have 1.15?
Does anything bad happen if you downgrade the firmware?
Shouldnāt be i assume. You just downgrade and set it up from there. Basically a factory reset.
Wanna zip those files and email them to me?
Sure can do. Once iām back from walking my dog iāll send them over.
Either that or iāll upload it to a hoster and send you the Downloadlink via pm. Not sure what Uploadlimit Gmail has.
PM sent.
Use at your own risk.
You know what Brian, I think Iām just an idiot who anāt solder for shit.
Cut off the mt60ās and no more popping sounds or sparks, all lights do as normal now. Looks like I was shorting the phases lol. Donāt think I killed it completely.
How much thermal improvement can I expect from this MakerX? If you see above posts, I am thermally limited on hill climbs with a TB4.12 esc. I am running 6374 single drive. Other recommendations?
It is optimized and modified by the famous open source project VESC project. It is compatible with VESC TOOL, mini-model, ultra-light and thin volume design, with heat dissipation shell and only 605012 in length and width. It can beā¦
Price: USD 125.00
I donāt know of much testing thatās been done on the MakerX ESCs but Iād love to hear your results if you try them.
I am ready to buy something, but I donāt know enough to know if this is a worthwhile upgrade. I am sure the heat sink will help, but not sure how much. I am also not sure if there is an advantage of 6.6 over 4.12.
How much are you pushing through the TB4.12 to get it to throttle? Single drive is a tough spotā¦ lots of load all in one place. Iād even get my FSESC 6.6 to throttle after pushing 50A through it to a 6384 for a few minutes. I expect the makerX wonāt like 50A put through it for any extended period of time eitherā¦ but no one has given that a shot yet as far as I know.
The only single drive I have that doesnāt throttle (well, very very rarely) is the OG FOCBOX on the TB6380 motor. The OG FOCBOX throttles on other motors in my experience. Not sure why. Maybe a motor expert can chime in.
