Would you says the Airs handle larger rocks like these good in terms of not disturbing your vision? Currently using Trucks from the T and my vision literally goes blurry when riding over those rocks with 30km/h. Can’t see shit.
also not sure what hardness i’d need for speeds up to 60km/h while still being somewhat maneuverable like i currently am with barrels in the inner position at 100kg-
They’ve transformed the riding for me in my local area. I can ride all the rocky paths that used to shake out my fillings with the mbs/3ds trucks. I normally just run the medium or soft/medium. I’m getting over 90kg now. Lee and Q also ride medium and are both over 90kg…
If you’re gonna hit higher speeds it’s worth balancing the wheels. I probably don’t hit more than 55kmh without balancing wheels though.
Yeah I’m gonna be seeing how mine works soon too. Board will hopefully be going on its first test ride tomorrow. I’ve got the default white-white on it right now though
Default config for sure. Anyone that buys them we strongly suggest they put some miles on the as shipped config and plays with the Kingpin tightness. If you can’t get what you need then it’s time to look to different bushings.
Essentially you want the Kingpin at least snug, a loose kingpin will turn the trucks into a wobbly mess, you will see what I mean. You want to start with them snug and adjust from there. If you end up loosening the kingpins too much you then need to look to adjusting the duro or the combo of bushings.
In my example I ride the standard setup normally, if Im going to the track I swap the fatcones out for white barrels. I tried it double white cone and it’s outrageous, I rode the track like that for a few laps but found it to be too loose for me. Its something I think you should try just for the lols, it’s like a pair of DKP.
Interesting, yeah I need to at least pick up a set of barrels because I’ll probably want that roadside for my commute, I usually average between 20 and 35 during that
That’s funny with dual cones haha I actually like DKP for certain things
I do 35mph on the standard setup no dramas although my board is geared much shorter these days. Ive done 38mph when I had the old moon drives and 190kv motors on there. Like I say play with the standard setup first, I don’t think you will need to change the bushings between off road and commuting. I only change mine for the track as we have a super twisty track
