Anyone ride in Oregon? Ever been harassed?

Building a Torqueboard AT board. Don’t want the cops or pedestrians freaking out on me here in Salem.

Anyone have any insights?

You are in one of the friendlist states in the country for it.

Skateboards have the same rules as bicycles. Oregon loves bicycles.

Ebikes = bikes. Same applies to eboards.

You can literally ride in the street, not bike lane, so long as you’re keeping up with traffic.

I used a hand sign today to a incoming driver and he yelled
“you’re not a bicycle”
I was cycling though.

Turn that handsign into a bird

Haha afterwards I realized that would have been the right reaction.

I just sped behind him that took all my focus because I was running on empty. Extra scary on a v1 Onewheel with a supposedly broken battery.

Oh you were on a OneWheel?

Nevermind, he was right.

I was doing ~25 miles of riding, 5 days /week last year. Commuting between Eugene and Springfield on bike paths and public roads. Never had a single issue. If anything, most people seem to respect alternate modes of transportation. Even the city bike paths allow motorized bicycles, which is way crazier than esk8.

No issues so far in Corvallis. Lots of OSU students have esk8’s. I am a little worried there will be an accident and they will crack down, but so far no issues.
