Anyone in Asheville?

Hey doods!

A couple weekends ago my wife and I took an awesome trip up to Asheville, NC.

It has been years since I was up there and we had an awesome time riding boards and brewery hopping to the myriad of awesome jaunts up there.

Are there any builders in that neck of the woods?

Bump on this. Thinking about taking a trip to check out the city and would love to meet up with some forum people and have a skate

Yo, also interested to see if there’s any other AVL skaters on here. I’ve lived here my whole life, you should definitely come check out the city. Roads aren’t the best, and not as many bike paths as we should have but it’s beautiful. Not a huge esk8 scene here unfortunately, but we have plenty of skaters, especially DH peeps.

I looking at an Americorp position in Asheville so if I get it I will be hitting this thread up for sure!

I’m over to ride mtn bikes, backpack, and see music a lot. Been going for 15-20 years. Let me know if there’s something going down or tourist perspective needed.

Hey guys, I’m in the area. My workshop (where I live) is in Black Mountain atm, although I’ve got 15 acres up in Madison Co where I’m working on moving to. Great place for mountain boarding fwiw, lots of old logging roads, thousands of undeveloped acres, about 5 miles from the AT.

I’m just getting into esk8/emtb, but I’m a machinist, fabricator, with a background in tech, and plenty experience building lithium packs, etc. if anybody in the area wants some help with any projects. Fully equipped manual machine shop including a good lathe, two full sized knee mills, a few surface grinders, welding equipment, etc etc.

Let’s be friends. Lol

I’m very familiar with black mtn. I come over to ride kitsuma and heartbreak on the reg. Mostly spend my time in Brevard.

Live in Nashville, though.

Yeah I’ve been hiking that area for over a decade. Other than the wilderness therapy kids, usually never anybody out there, which is definitely my preference. I’m actually in Ridgecrest right down the road from the FSR that runs the back way down to Graphite, past that bed and breakfast etc.

Hit me up if you’re planning to be in the area.

Haha. Funny story. About ten years ago my dudes and I got lost coming off of heartbreak. 30 miles and 10k feet of climbing and we ran into a huge group of girls in the woods. Didn’t look like they’d seen boys in quite a few days. The guides cut us off before we got all the way down to their campsite. Gave us directions out. Unfortunately we were no where near the car. Epic day.

Haha yep, I know which camp you found.

Lol, hungry eyes in that group. Pretty sure we turned the wrong at Star Gap but it’s been a while and we ended up coming out we were not anywhere near Montreat, which is where we started.

Pretty sure we had printed directions from the bike shop in town that were incorrect. This was before all the cool gps locating apps.

I just moved up to Brevard, NC today for the year. I’ll be serving with Americorps at a local school. I definitely want to find riders in the area. I’m only 45min-an hour away from Asheville.

Cheers!

I’ll hit you up the next time I’m there. I love that city and would take a Pescado’s burrito right fucking now. I know those woods like the back of my hand.
