Anyone here with experience with Elofty Menace or EVE M21 prismatic cells?

Hey guys,
I’m trying to find out if anyone here has real world experience with the Elofty Menace, especially the version that uses EVE M21 prismatic cells in the battery pack.

I ran into this board here:
https://eloftyboards.com/products/menace

They mention that the big battery version uses EVE M21 prismatic cells, which is something you don’t really see in esk8 very often.

The reason I’m asking is that I can’t find any proper reviews, ride reports, teardowns, or long-term user experiences anywhere online — no YouTube reviews, no forum threads, no Reddit posts, nothing.
Given how unusual this battery setup and the claimed charging speed are, I would expect at least someone to be talking about it, which makes the lack of any real-world info even more confusing.

So I’m mainly wondering:

  • Has anyone here actually ridden this board?

  • Has anyone opened it up or seen the battery in person?

  • Does anyone have experience with EVE M21 prismatic cells specifically — either in esk8 or in any other DIY / EV project?

I’m not trying to accuse anyone of anything — I just want to understand what this thing really is before taking it seriously.

If anyone has:

  • owned it,

  • ridden it,

  • worked on it, or

  • used these cells in a similar application,

I’d really appreciate any real-world info :folded_hands:

Those cells look really interesting, i haven’t seen or heard anything as far as a tear down or review in the eskate space for this kinda pack. What i have seen outside of the eskate world are people using lifepo4 prismatic for power wall type applications - seen a lot of people getting prematurely swollen cells because they didn’t give them the correct compression when installing them - these cells generally need 10ish psi of compression on the large face of the battery when installed and cycling to prevent normal thermal effects from messing them up.

I don’t quite understand what these packs are and haven’t dug into them much, seems like lifepo4 form and cycle life but liIon power density and charging? I kinda need to do some reading on these before you take my opinion seriously though - interesting stuff

It’s weird that there’s zero independent coverage for a board with uncommon cells and fast charge claims. That alone would make me pause. Does anyone here have confirmed ride time or teardown photos to back up what the vendor is saying?

Hehehehehe

I hate it when that happens
