Looking to buy this and looked like the best value dual charger that doesn’t require buying a separate power supply. Looks like better wattage than the D6 pro, anyone here got it and can tell me actual charging rates they are getting?
Thanks

I have not used the HOTA D6+ but I have 3 of D6 Duo’s.
the HOBBYMATE D6 Duo is pretty sweet. 8AMPS from wall or 4A per side.
Then if you want to do more like say 16AMPS or 8A per side you can get a
cheap power supply later and make it pack more of a punch.
My Supply is no longer the wall and is a
inShareplus 24V 20.83A 500W, DC Universal Regulated Switching Power Supply
About $37.00 on amazon.
Then there is power cable and making a xt60 plugin for the supply.
Total around $40 for the supply. There are higher amp ones but these are cheap and effective.
After having my D6’s for a year or more I wanted to make them charge faster. The supply is a simple
cheap upgrade for later.
The D6 also has updates, wireless charger and USB outputs. So it can charge your battery phone and remote all at one time. Very nice and compact. Has balancing functions and more.
not sure if you have looked at that one or even considered it with your budget but its a beast of a charger.
with more functions than most need. Which is nice to have sometimes.
Thanks for the info. Yeh, i’ve heard a lot of good things about the D6 Duo (which is a rebrand of the Hota D6 Pro), i’m opting for the D6+ as the AC goes up to 300w (210w max per side) rather than 200w on the D6 Duo.
So i guess I can translate that 8A at 200w to mean I should get up to 12A at 300w (6A per side).
D6 Duo will take 650W supply from its specs.
I use 24v 500W 20A and only use about 95% or the amps so 16A or 8 amps per side.
As for the wall, only 8AMPS max or 4AMP per side.
I can get 10A per side using the above supply but do not want to run the supply at MAX.
So the D6 Duo will actually do or looks like it will do 15A per side so long as you have the supply
to do that.
Ive seen videos of the charger only being able to do 15A total or 7.5 per side.
This does not seem the case with all of mine as they allow for you to do 10A per side tested.
An Im sure 15 if you have the right charger.
Many neat functions to prevent over voltage or under voltage from a supply also.
Since its made to take a Lipo in the back and drain it into your packs.
You can use the settings to prevent to much discharge etc. Its a very nice charger thats small for the price. Also easy to upgrade the Amp output.
Thanks for the photos, you’ve reminded me that I’ll need xt60 to xt90 adapters!
I will start with just AC power as I’m upgrading from a single charger only giving 5A max right now, just having dual charge is a huge bonus for me, no doubt I’ll end up upgrading to DC in the future though
The AC on that is 8amps total or maybe 4.2-4.5 per side.
I can get a consistent 4A per side on the D6.
with the DC cheap amazon supply I get 8A per side.
Very good charger for the price imo, Im coming from what ever $300 chargers came with my Trampa’s.
They actually blew up when using my CNC. Not even charging thankfully but still just started sparking.
Them big chargers I had did like 15 per side but was a massive charger and also had no balance functions. Just balanced when storage charging only when near storage or when fully charged it starts to balance. I tend to like how the D6 will let me set this to charge to 4.18 then I can balance them slow up to 4.19 thus leaving me some head room for my regeneration down my hill.
The D6 just has a ton of options on it, I dont know about the other one but for real this little thing is a power house of unexpected features imo. An I’m not even selling anything. XD
