Any iOS app that show motor temperature besides Metr?

Hey guys

For my ebike development I just needed to check how motor temperatures were looking, so I got a cheap HM10 module and bought Xmatic, for my surprise the one thing it doesn’t show is what I need

Anyone know other apps?

You can try this one

Last time I used it the log file read out wasn’t possible anymore, but live data should still work and it displays you pcb and motor temp as well.

Thanks Andy, just downloaded and it also doesn’t show motor temperature

I think I will just hook a display to an Arduino and tape it to the handlebars

It does show motor temp! Maybe not by default but I have it on.

One thing about temp measurement I found out is, that the closer the sensor wires routed to the phase wires the more the values jump up and down. Like 10-15 degree. If you want accurate measurements it might make a sense to shield the sensor wires or route them away from the phase wires.

I didn’t realize you had to be connected to add more stats

And I had similar problems with temperature readings to the point I had to make sure my motors never get close to the limit or the protection will kick in and out all the time making for a really dangerous scenario

I will play around with twisted pairs and shielding next time

I have not used it lately, but perhaps Xmatic?

Looks like Xmatic only shows ESC temp. :slightly_frowning_face:
