Biggest drawback is they are not MR90 / MT90 :slight_smile:

Don’t see why not, but you’d be better off using xt150, no need for the antispark

Im actually totally down to try and design something like this. No clue how to handle the sensor wires though

MR 60 connectors barely fit 12 gauge wire on them (when using the grey caps on them) and can be a pain in the ass to solder to for tight cases. I can see MT60 being way worse and hell to solder with short wires

Also the triangle ends could look worse on an enclosure IMO but that might not bother you

There is a specialty item, with three bullets, and a mass of small connector in the middle I saw when doing ebike stuff.

I have access to a couple form labs form 3. I’ll probably work on getting a few prototypes in January and once I get some PET-CF for my new printer I’ll try on fdm.

If someone here has dims on the connectors or just wants to make the CAD, i’ll gladly print it up, i’ve got a decent FDM printer and a friend has an SLA printer.

The connectors are easy to solder. You just have to rotate the bullets so the cup terminal is facing in the most easily solderable position away from other bulk.

Like, incase anybody didn’t know. The pins in XT connectors swivel around as much as you want them to. Needle nose pliers or forceps for easiest adjustment. Twist it. Bop it. Squeeze it. Somethin like that.

Summary

Come to think of it, I am guilty of dreading not having any clean 3.5mm bullet connectors when staring at a pile full of fresh xt60s. I have often pulled tiny bullets out of xt30 connectors tho because they’re real fuckin neato

Seriously why you don’t solder the phase wires?
How often you take them apart?

With the exception of the xt90S, the bullet with the resistor attached will not swivel.
