acedeck horizon on mbs deck

I have fews question but this one is also important:
I want to upgrade from my matrix 2 truck to the acedeck horizon suspension trucks
my deck is 30 degree if i remember so i think the angle is ok but the mounting holes of my deck is it compatible ? , for me spending another 2200$ not worth it ,
also i can use my mbs wheel patern with the acedeck geardrive? thanks

The trucks use standard mounting pattern so there’s no problem there. The Acedeck Element gear drives use their own press-fit system similar to Newbee 4GS, Linnpower etc. I’m actually working on making a bolt-on MBS adapter for that gear drive

ok thank you very much Alex so if understand, (sorry sometime if i can’t get it my english is not very good )
i need to use their own wheel hub with this geardrive ? so my boardnamics wheel is useless?

Currently your Boardnamics wheels would not work on the Acedeck drives because of the way the wheel mounts to the gear drive. The factory wheels use a small adapter that goes between the wheel and gear drive. I am working on designing and fabricating an adapter that would allow you to run MBS wheels with the Acedeck drive however, but I’m not sure exactly what the timeline is like.

ok now i understand ! the adapter ! but the acedeck wheels are to expensive for me maybe i will purchase some xl mbs wheel combined with your adapter will be the solution

but the cost of all of this setup is more expensive than purchasing the propel endeavor 3 s

i really don’t know what to do , my board run well like it is but the suspension will be a urge
improvement over my matrix 2 , here in quebec we have the worst roads in the world

Here’s a couple pics I found from my Z3 of what the wheel adapter looks like.

nice!! just received my board today i was a bit a little discouraging before of the battery pack was to small but i found i can hook from 6s so adding one more battery pack on the top for longer ride will be possible ( i tested with 1 16ah 6S pack) correct me if am wrong but with this 145A esc , in the remote menu we can choose 20S safely? because i plan to add a connector and use sometime 12s or 18s lipo thanks Alex , btw i can use your wheel adaptor with stock mbs bronze wheel? thanks again

As for the voltage I would say stick with the 14S the board was designed around. The remote can be configured differently but it’s not reprogramming the ESC or anything like that.

My adapters will work with MBS bronze wheels yes. I’ll hopefully be able to make some headway on them in the coming week or two.

explain me why i was able use 6s ? maybe you mean not anymore than 14s

is it 3d print with abs wire ? can you sell me the stl

I would not 3D print them… they would shear off pretty easily. It would replace that purple adapter you see in my pics, except instead of interfacing with the stock Acedeck wheel, it will have a mounting pattern for MBS screws (80.3mm)

I’m not sure what you mean. How and what did you connect?

i open up the case of the esc and then i connect my 6s lipo directly to the esc with xt90 connector , no need to cut or soldering something the board work with 6s but you change the setting in the avanced setting by pressing 8 times on the bottom button , so maybe if it work on 6s it can work with any other voltage

cnc?

Let me know if you manage an acedeck geardrive to MBS Matrix adaptor. I am keen to get some of these!
