90mm wheel similar to Mad Wheels

So I converted a dot board to belt drive.
Why would you do this? The person in head asks.
Because the Dotboard hubs are shit and the controller is an accident wait to happen.

Anyway, I have mad wheels and cags and I’m looking for something in the middle. I love the ride of the mad wheels, it’s my pick up ride over shitting roads through the city, go anywhere board and the mad wheels are great for that. But they are heavy and big!

In perfect world mad wheels would make a 90mm option, but since they don’t what would you recommend?

Maybe some meepo 90s, I dont have experience with them. Or the tb 90s, which, if they are like the 110s should be great.

I bought a Meepo Flow couple weeks ago - it came with the 105’s (with holes - same as good old Boosted wheels).

Really confy, i liked it. I just need to say that on low speeds you can feel the wheels holes ressonance on your feet. Other than that, great wheel.

I think many of us are hoping someday @fujio001 at MAD wheels can make some smaller wheels than the 105s.

But currently I don’t think they exist.

85mm blues Caguamas are probably as cushy as it gets on the smaller side.

I have a smaller wheel on my to do list. I have one or two other projects before I have time to focus on a smaller wheel. I was thinking 90-92mm.

What size would you guys like to see?

They might be smaller diameter, but the Venom Mach 1 Magnum wheels are really soft and super lightweight and small. They are 78mm tall and 70mm wide and come in several durometers, make sure you get 74A and not 76A. Pulleys were even made for these once upon a time. They might be just what you are looking for.

They are so wide I’ve routinely ridden over railroad tracks with them, just go at a slight angle and they sail right across. I underestimated how much added width helps when dealing with bad road quality, before I rode these wheels.

I second that. Venom Mach 1s, or Blue Caguamas. They’re very close in terms of comfort

Has anyone tried the 90mm bee’s knees?

I have a set of the blue caguamas. I should buy a set of the Venom Mach 1s and try them out.

Because I didn’t know and couldn’t wait for @fujio001, I got 90mm Boa Hatchlings. They seem comparably soft.

They’re for my lightest board and I’m sufficiently content so far with them.

85x70, I like them wiiide. Width really helps when going over stuff at an angle

Also in Europe our urethane race series limits wheel size to 92mm so I’d definitely love to see something new and grippy that fits into those restrictions

75mm tall x 100mm wide

Centerset but also somehow compatible with a 31T pulley and 45mm axle

Yeah they sure are give them a Google

I know you likely wanna make your own wheels and something thats unique, but boosted made a 90mm wheel right before they went bust. If they were made by the same manufacturer I think they’d be a worth a try.

I have a set and they are pretty damn good.

Would you mind sharing a photo of the wheel? Curious what it looks like. Thanks!
