I’m with you on this. Run the jewels has always brought the heat. Legend Has It and Nobody Speak have been regulars in my rotation quite a bit lately too.

RTJ crushes it. I found out from a buddy at a party they were playing at a music fest in Cincinnati the next day. Bought tickets on the spot at 2 am. It was certainly worth it. Got to see streetlight manifesto as well. Very different but very fun.

So many good tracks in this thread, wowzer. You could look all night and you’d not find them all, it was a great time. Especially really early when hip hop was making the transition from cheesey 80’s to the darker 90’s. Good stuff.

With that said, modern UK Grime is great. I blast it in my car when I’m travelling alone for work.

I heard young people say 90s rap is too lyrical… I thought that being lyrical is the main point of rap I dunno.
