On that subject 99 just makes the cut
Seriously. The 90’s was hip hop and metals time to shine.
I’m with you on this. Run the jewels has always brought the heat. Legend Has It and Nobody Speak have been regulars in my rotation quite a bit lately too.
RTJ crushes it. I found out from a buddy at a party they were playing at a music fest in Cincinnati the next day. Bought tickets on the spot at 2 am. It was certainly worth it. Got to see streetlight manifesto as well. Very different but very fun.
Check out Atmosphere (formerly slug). He had a popular 90s hit with living legends
So many good tracks in this thread, wowzer. You could look all night and you’d not find them all, it was a great time. Especially really early when hip hop was making the transition from cheesey 80’s to the darker 90’s. Good stuff.
With that said, modern UK Grime is great. I blast it in my car when I’m travelling alone for work.
I heard young people say 90s rap is too lyrical… I thought that being lyrical is the main point of rap I dunno.
+1 on atmosphere!
I feel cool just reading this thread XD . Tupac for life
We were best friends in the 90’s then…
All of these…
Pharcyde, Living Legends, souls of Mischief, the list can go on. Good choice.
Still bang these
Beatnuts allllll day
This was the biggest hit ever
